Far Reach Technologies, a Cedar Falls provider of IT consulting and custom software services, was named a
2011 Prometheus Awards finalist in the IT Service Provider of the Year category.
The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) Prometheus Awards are considered the
industry’s most prestigious awards in the state of Iowa. This annual event recognizes the remarkable achievements of high-tech businesses and individuals throughout the past year.
“There are a lot of very deserving IT providers in Iowa, and we’re flattered that Far
Reach Technologies has been named a finalist,” said Kate Washut, Partner, Far Reach Technologies. “This event does an outstanding job of shining a spotlight on the stellar talent in our state and showcasing the work Iowans are doing not only locally, but for clients throughout the country.”
Since the Prometheus Awards began six years ago, the event has grown not only in
size, but competition. This year, there were a record number of nominations
submitted, which made being named a finalist even more challenging.
“When we started Far Reach Technologies, our focus was to help organizations solve tough technology problems, whether it is through our IT services or creating custom software, so they are more efficient and effective,” said Washut.
This year’s Prometheus Award winners will be announced on April 7 at the Meadows Convention Center in Altoona. This event is co-sponsored by the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) and LWBJ Financial. Other sponsors are Merit Resources, the Entrepreneurial Development Center and Applied Art and Technology.
The other finalists in the IT Service Provider of the Year category are Alliance
Technologies and DoExtra Corporation.
